How much gas do I have left?

When you lift the lid of your tank you will see a round gauge about 2” in diameter. The needle will point to the amount (percent, not gallons) you have left.

Propane Safety

If you smell gas, you should immediately put out all smoking materials and any open flames. In addition, do not operate any cell phones, land line telephones, lights or appliances as flames or sparks from these devices may trigger a fire or explosion. If you smell propane gas, immediately get everyone out of the area or the building where you suspect that gas might be leaking.  Once you've left the area, you should locate and shut off the main gas supply valve on your propane tank.

When you have exited the area and are a safe distance from the source of the gas smell, you should report the leak immediately from a neighbor's home or other location by calling Harris Propane immediately. If you can't reach Harris Propane call 911 or the local fire department immediately. More than anything, don't re-enter the building until Harris Propane or the fire department has determined that it is ok to do so.

Finally, you should have a qualified service technician from Harris Propane check your entire system and any of your propane appliances to make sure they remain completely free of leaks before you attempt using them.
